On November 13th, 2019 CWA Local 3645 held System Board of Appeal in CLT.  

An agent from CLT was appealing a coaching for work performance.  After reviewing all the facts. The board dead locked. This case will be sent to CWA District 3 Staff Representative for review for arbitration.  

 

Another agent from CLT was appealing a coaching for fingernails being out of compliance. The board determined that the coaching was justified.

 

An agent from CLT was appealing a coaching for work performance. After reviewing all the facts the board determined that the company presented enough evidence that showed the coaching was justified.

 

An agent from CLT was appealing a coaching for work performance. After reviewing all the facts the board determined that the company did not present enough evidence that showed the coaching was warranted.

 

An agent from CLT was appealing a Level 2 for work performance. After reviewing all the facts. The board determined that the company did present enough evidence that showed the level 2 was justified.

Greetings Members: Our number one goal is to make sure all members in our 22 stations know what is happening in the Local through total transparency.  Official Union information can be accessed on our Website, Union Boards and our Stewards.

• Contract 

The officers for local 3645  along with other leaders from CWA locals across the system met with the Senior executive leadership Team for Piedmont including Eric Morgan, Michelle Foose,  Jeff Garver, Aylin Alberak, John Keaton, and other regional directors, regional managers from the  Piedmont operations for the first Biannual meeting of 2020.

Finally, after 4 months of searching the local has finally found a new office. The Lease will begin on January 2020.  The office should be up and running at full capacity by January 15th.  The New Union office adress is 5715 Westpark Drive suite 100

-        Several of Local 3645 Stewards attended the  Piedmont Quarterly Saftey meeting in PHL 

-        Local processed Dozens of  step 1 grievances in CLT and out stations   

-        Local officers and Area Representatives attended biannual meetings  MGM, HSV

-        Local Area Representatives visited multiple stations including  HSV

-        Local officers held station visits to PGV, GSP

-        Local held two system Boards in November  totaling 16 cases..

About the Scholarship

Sixteen partial college scholarships of $4,000 each are being offered for the 2019-2020 school year. Winners, selected in a lottery drawing, also will receive second-year scholarships of the same amount contingent upon satisfactory academic accomplishment.  Part-time students, less than 12 credits, will receive half of the scholarship monies.

Eligible for the awards are CWA members and their spouses, children and grandchildren, including those of retired or deceased members.

The leadership team for CWA Local 3645 want to thank all of our stewards who attended our Annual Steward Leadership Training for 2019. We want to thank all the stewards in our local for volunteering their time to help out their co workers and fighting for the labor movement!

Union Bothers and Sisters
Recently the Company sent out communication to agents stating that as a result of our contract they will no longer provide insurance to part time employees THAT INFORMATION IS INCORRECT.
The Union has not and never has negotiated insurance for part time agents! The contract only addresses insurance for full time agents.
